By car:
From Center City Philadelphia (Northeast): Take Interstate 95 South to PA 476 North. Take Exit 5 (Springfield/Lima). Continue on US Route 1 South (Media Bypass) toward Lima, approximately four miles. Bypass merges onto Business Route 1 South (Baltimore Pike). Pass under Route 352 (Middletown) overpass. Stay in the left hand lane, turn left at the second traffic light (West Entrance). Follow signs for your destination.
From City Line Avenue (North): Take City Line Avenue, US Route 1 South (approximately 15 miles). Route 1 will become Media Bypass as you cross under overpass, juncture with Route 320. Continue on US Route 1 South (Media Bypass) toward Lima, approximately four miles. Bypass merges onto Business US Route 1 South (Baltimore Pike). Pass under Route 352 (Middletown) overpass, Stay in the left hand lane, turn left at the second traffic light (West Entrance). Follow signs for your destination.
From Route 202 and Route 1 (West): Take US Route 1 North (Baltimore Pike) approximately eight miles. After intersection with Route 452 (Pennell Road) stay in right hand lane for approximately 0.5 miles. Turn right at second traffic light (West Entrance). Follow signs for your destination.
From Scranton and Allentown (North): Take PA Turnpike (Northeast Extension) 476 South to Mid County Interchange. After toll booths continue South on Route 476 (Blue Route), take Exit 5 (Springfield/Lima) US Route 1 South (Media Bypass) toward Lima approximately four miles. Bypass merges onto Business US Route 1 South (Baltimore Pike). Pass under Route 352 (Middletown) overpass. Stay in the left hand lane, turn left at the second traffic light (West Entrance). Follow signs for your destination.
From Wilmington, Delaware (South East): I-95 North to Exit 2 (Boothwyn), Route 452. Take Route 452 North approx. 5.7 miles to US Route 1 North. After approximately 0.5 miles, stay in right hand lane, turn right at the traffic light. Follow signs for your destination.
By bus or train:
From Center City Philadelphia and Southwest to Media
By Train: From Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station, Suburban Station or Jefferson Station, take SEPTA’s Regional Rail Media/Elwyn Line to Elwyn. Elwyn Station is located approximately two miles southeast of Riddle Hospital on Elwyn Road. SEPTA bus #117 to Penn State will drop you off at Riddle Hospital. Taxi service can be called from the station.
From the airport
The SEPTA Regional Rail Airport Line runs from the Philadelphia International Airport to 30th Street Station, where you can take SEPTA's Regional Rail Media/Elwyn Line to Elwyn.
Parking
Are there any specific instructions for where visitors should park upon entering? There are some updates on the web about parking now – this will be an ongoing/fluid section until the opening of the Pavilion
Valet parking and self-parking are both available.
All oversized vehicles will be directed to park in the flat lots surrounding the West and South Garages. Clearance for both garages is 6' 10".
The Riddle Hospital campus consists of our main hospital, four health center buildings, three parking garages and ground-level parking.
Patients are permitted to have visitors from 8:00am to 7:00pm, as long as it is not disruptive to their healing. Patients are permitted to have two visitors at a time, and visitors are allowed to swap out throughout the day. Children below the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Visitation is always at the discretion of the patient’s care team. Main Line Health staff will facilitate this to the best of their ability and may need to limit or restrict visitors to protect the health, privacy and safety of the patient. The patient has the right to be made aware of any clinical limitations or restrictions.

Providing a safe environment for patients, staff and the community is integral to our focus of delivering high-quality care. Main Line Health requires visitors to obtain a temporary visitor's badge from our Greeter Service Ambassadors located at the main entrance of our hospitals. A government-issued ID (state ID, driver's license, passport, etc.) is required to receive a visitor's badge.
