Class of 2023

Lucia Cavero, DO
Dr. Cavero moved to the United States from Cusco, Peru in 2003. She studied molecular biology during her undergraduate years at Lehigh University before completing her masters degree in biomedical sciences at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she also received her medical degree in 2020. Dr. Cavero has a particular interest in women's health and hopes educate patients in preventive medicine. She is fluent in Spanish.

Dana Curtis, MD
Dr. Dana Curtis grew up in Lower Merion and earned her undergraduate degree at Colgate University. She earned her medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College. Dr. Curtis chose family medicine because she is interested in full spectrum care and preventative medicine.

Beverly Ng, MD
Dr. Beverly Ng earned her medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University before completing two years of general surgery residency with Lankenau Medical Center. She chose for a change in career to family medicine as it will allow her to focus on her passion for patient education, preventive medicine, and geriatrics. In her free time, she enjoys reading and trying out new recipes.

Navneet Mann, DO
Dr. Mann grew up in Newark, Delaware but also spent part of her childhood in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. She graduated from University of Delaware with an undergraduate degree in Biology and minor in History. She then received her master's in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Forensic Medicine and medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Family Medicine was Dr. Mann's specialty choice because she enjoys working closely with patients over time and wants to work with all age groups. Her interests include behavioral medicine and preventative medicine

Talia Katz, DO
Dr. Talia Katz attended PSU where she obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Bioethics and Medical Humanities. She went on to earn her medical degree from PCOM. Dr. Katz enjoys getting to know her patients and has special interest in preventive care and addressing healthcare disparities. In her free time, she enjoys being a “Big” in the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program, spending time outdoors, traveling, and fostering pets from the shelter. .
Navpreet Singh, DO
Dr. Singh grew up in Vineland, New Jersey and graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor's degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience along with a minor in Economics. He earned his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Dr. Singh chose family medicine because he enjoys developing long-term relationships with patients of all ages and working with them to provide continuity of care.

Linda Tran, DO
Dr. Linda Tran was originally from the Philadelphia area and graduated from University of the Sciences with a bachelor's degree in Biology. She earned her medical degree from Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Tran chose family medicine because she enjoys the flexibility, diversity and focus of preventative care. She is interested in full-spectrum family medicine, including complementary/integrative medicine, obesity/lifestyle medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine. Dr. Tran is also fluent in Vietnamese.

Class of 2024

Yasser Alsharqi, DO
Prior to joining Main Line Health, Dr. Alsharqi worked with diverse hospitals and healthcare systems. From practicing medicine in developing countries to health administration in the United States, he is adept at liaising across multiple departments on business and medical levels. Dr. Alsharqi received his Bachelors in Medicine & Surgery from Baghdad University then worked on several clinical research and management projects before graduating with his Master of Public Health and Master of Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University where he focused on health policy, patient safety and global health. He earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Alsharqi chose family medicine in order to provide continuity of care to patients of all ages and practice full-spectrum medicine, which integrates preventive care, behavioral health, complementary & lifestyle medicine, and osteopathic manipulative treatment.

Brian Chan, DO
Dr. Brian Chan grew up in Tenafly, New Jersey and earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Rutgers University. He earned his medical degree from Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Chan chose family medicine because he became interested in family medicine, for its emphasis on preventive medicine and being able to work with patients of all ages. His interests within medicine also include Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and Sports & Musculoskeletal Medicine. Dr. Chan is excited and looks forward to working with you!

Dionne Kimani, MD
Dr. Dionne Kimani earned her bachelor degrees in Paper Science and Engineering as well as Chemical Engineering. She then went on to work for DuPont in an early career rotational program. During this time, she discovered that her true passion was medicine. She attended Temple University, where she earned her medical degree. She chose family medicine as her specialty because of her passion for preventative care and building life long relationships with her patients. Her interests outside of medicine include fashion, nutrition and fitness, playing her cello, and listening to classical music.
Devon Merkle, DO
Dr. Devon Merkle obtained his B.S. in Neuroscience at The University of Scranton prior to earning his medical degree from PCOM. Dr. Merkle aims to both enlighten and empower his patients by providing them with a greater understanding of their illnesses. By fostering a strong patient-provider relationship, he intends to establish a partnership that encourages both patient autonomy and collaboration. In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar, cooking, and exercising.

Jeffrey Mu, MD
Dr. Mu grew up in Hockessin, Delaware and earned his undergraduate degree in biology from University of Delaware. He then earned his medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College. He chose family medicine because he loves building relationships with patients as well as knowing "a little bit of everything". He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Alana Payne, DO
Dr. Alana Payne grew up on Long Island NY in Freeport and graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelors in Integrative Neuroscience. She earned her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Payne chose Family Medicine because she enjoys the variety, flexibility, and breadth of knowledge in primary care.

Sean Rogers, DO
Hailing from Bucks County, Dr. Rogers attained his undergraduate degree in biology at Penn State University and his medical degree (forfeiting the Mr. Rogers moniker) at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Rogers is passionate about Family Medicine's holistic, unifying view of healthcare, as well as the lifelong relation Family Medicine doctors have with their patients. His specific interests include behavioral medicine, hospice and palliative care, and osteopathic manipulation. In his free time, he enjoys filmmaking, indie concerts, and writing.

Rachel Sternberg, DO
Dr. Rachel Sternberg grew up in Wayne, Pennsylvania and graduated from Lehigh University with highest honors with a bachelor's degree in Biology and minor in Health, Medicine, and Society. She earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Sternberg chose family medicine because of the continuity of patient care and focus on preventative medicine. Outside of medicine she is an avid equestrian.

Sufyan Ahmad, DO
Dr. Ahmad grew up in Albany, NY and graduated as a first generation college student from SUNY Geneseo in 2017 with dual majors in Biology & Psychology. He then obtained his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2022. He is interested in many aspects of family medicine including Sports Medicine, Women's Health, Diabetes Management, and Aesthetic Medicine. He enjoys trying new restaurants in Philadelphia, spending time with friends, watching documentaries, and playing with his cavapoo puppy, Ava! He is fluent in Urdu and speaks Spanish conversationally.
Nicholas Delaney, DO
Dr. Delaney grew up in Norristown, Pennsylvania and completed his undergraduate studies at Temple University. He later earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Delaney chose the field of Family Medicine as it fulfills his passion of preventive medicine and establishing life-long relationships with patients. Outside medicine, he enjoys golfing and being a die-hard Philadelphia Sports fan.
Oren Fishman, MD
Dr. Fishman grew up in New York City and earned his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University. He went on to obtain a Masters in Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania before completing medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Fishman pursues Family Medicine because of its commitment to long term relationships with patients, and its breadth of specialization. His areas of interest include palliative medicine, preventative medicine, and LGBTQ care.
Devin Shanker, DO
Dr. Shanker grew up in Queens, New York and graduated from St. John's University with a bachelor's degree in Biology along with a minor in Physics. He earned his medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Shanker chose Family Medicine because of the ability to build long-term relationships with patients. His interests include full spectrum primary care along with point-of-care-ultrasound, urgent care, and community medicine.
Somya Sharma, MD
Born and raised on the east coast, Dr. Somya Sharma always had a curiosity to learn about different cultures. After earning her bachelor's in Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan, she decided to travel to 15 countries around the world, which opened her eyes to the health inequities that prevail, especially when it comes to women's health and mental health. She returned to New York to complete her medical training at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, where her interest in preventive and integrative health was cultivated. She hopes to be a holistic provider that makes her patients feel safe, empowered, and excited to take ownership over their health. Her work will not be over until everyone has access to quality healthcare for the mind, body, and soul.
Mary Yang, MD
Dr. Yang was born and raised in the suburbs of Washington, DC. She completed her undergraduate studies from American University and earned her medical degree at Manila Central University in the Philippines. Prior to joining Main Line Health, she worked in Public Health and was also the recipient of the Presidential Volunteer Service Award in 2021. Dr. Yang's desire to serve the community led her to Family Medicine. She is passionate about the role that Family Medicine plays in ensuring continuity of care for patients and advocates the importance of primary care. She is conversational in Tagalog/Filipino. In her spare time, Dr. Yang enjoys ocean adventures and spending time with her loved ones.
